Nodes

What is a Node

Dokemon allows you to manage multiple servers using a single Dokemon instance. Nodes are nothing but your servers.

How to add a Node

After you setup a new Dokemon instance you should be able to see the Set Server URL button in the Nodes section. Click this button and set the URL of the Dokemon Server. Use the IP address, host or FQDN of the server in the URL. This URL should be accessible from the nodes that you want to manage.

Once you set this URL, the Add Node button will be enabled. Click this to add a new node and provide it a name. You can leave the Environment as None for now.

Once the Node has been created, you will be able to see a Register button on the row for that node. Clicking this button will generate a script to install the Dokemon Agent. Copy this script and run it on your node. Once done you should be able to manage the Node though Dokemon.

Do I need to open any inbound ports on the node

No, the Dokemon Server does not initiate a connection to the Agent. Instead the Dokemon Agent initiates a connection to the Dokemon Server and listens for commands from the Server. So there is no need to open inbound ports on your Nodes.
